The Tullahoma High School softball team had a ceremony for the team’s only senior, Sara Tate before their game Tuesday against Marshall County.
The Lady Wildcats fell 23-17 in the game that had 33 combined hits and 11 combined errors.

The Lady Wildcats fell 23-17 in the game that had 33 combined hits and 11 combined errors.
Tate had a big game going 3-for-4 at the plate. She drew a walk, scored twice and brought in one runner. The Lady ‘Cats had two other players rack up three hits, Kylee Holt and Addye Norman. One of Norman’s hits were a double. She had three RBI and drew one walk. Holt had three singles, but stole four bases. She also walked twice and brought in a pair of teammates. Madison Goad, Kaitlynn Gattis and Aleigha Raby had two hit games each. Goad had a two run home run in the third inning. She also led the team in base on balls with three. Raby had two RBI in the game. Brinley Gillam and AC Holloway had the other two hits for Tullahoma. Holloway’s was a two RBI double in the fourth. Gillam had one RBI. Both Gillam and Holloway walked once. Miaha Johnson was the other starter for the Lady Wildcats and she drew a walk.
Tullahoma used three pitchers to get through the game, Amaya Sharp started. She went 2.1 innings throwing 67 pitches with 41 strikes. She walked just one batter and struck out two. While Sharp was in the game four unearned runs scored. Gattis took the ball in relief and threw an inning. She struck out one batter, walked two and threw 32 pitches. Holloway finished the game for the Lady ‘Cats, throwing 91 pitches over the last 3.2 innings. She threw 43 strikes, struck out one batter and allowed just three earned runs.
The Lady Wildcats go to Franklin County Monday for their last regular season game. The contest is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
