The Tullahoma High School softball team advanced to the district semifinals with a 6-5 win over Giles County in 10 innings.

This was the first district loss for the Lady Bobcats all season. Tullahoma had 12 hits to Giles County’s six. Tullahoma allowed three unearned runs during game. The Lady ‘Cats tied the game up in the fifth, scoring three runs with two outs. A Kylee Holt double gave Tullahoma their first lead in the top of the seventh with an RBI double to make it 4-3. The Lady Bobcats tied the game at four, scoring with two outs. Neither team was able to score again, until the fifth when they were awarded a “ghost runner” to open the frame. Addye Norman was the Tullahoma player placed at second to start the inning. Kaitlynn Gattis doubled with one out to score with one out. Brinley Gillam singled right after, Gattis scored on an error by the right fielder to give the Lady ‘Cats a two run lead. Amaya Sharp pitched a three-up, three-down bottom half to secure the win for Tullahoma.
