(WCYB) — Soccer Sectionals were held around the region on Saturday, with every team looking to punch their ticket to Murfreesboro.
In the cards for the Greene Devils, Greeneville returns for their 13th straight state tournament appearance after a 1-0 win over Austin-East.
Shocking the standings, Science Hill pulled off the road upset to join them with the 4-2 victory over Hardin Valley.
Coming up just short, it was Dobyns-Bennett falling 1-0 in a heartbreaker to Bearden. On the road, it was David Crockett leading for most of the game but not in the cards in the end, they fell 3-2 to Cocke County.
The TSSAA State Tournament will begin play on Tuesday in Murfreesboro.
