The NFL’s rookie minicamp weekend is officially in the books as of Sunday afternoon.

Teams around the country had the opportunity to welcome their rookies to the practice field for the first time since either being drafted or signed as undrafted free agents. Teams will now go through various development programs and meetings as OTAs begin in late May through mid-June.

The rookie minicamps over the weekend gave a great look at two former Tennessee offensive starters in action.

Jaylen Wright, the first Vol off the board in the fourth round to Miami, joins a crowded running back room but an ideal fit for his speed, quickness, and burst through the line. Wright, donning No. 25 during camp with the Dolphins, could be seen breaking tackles and getting through defenders on the first day of camp.

“It’s good to be here,” Wright told South Beach reporters after camp on Friday. “I’m excited. I’m just ready to go.”

The other drafted player from Tennessee’s starting offense in 2023 was quarterback Joe Milton III, taken by the New England Patriots in the sixth round. While the Patriots did snag quarterback Drake Maye with the third overall pick, Milton had “too much talent” to pass up late in the draft according to Eliot Wolf.

Wearing his usual No. 7 chain with a red No. 19 jersey, Milton took to the practice field over the weekend and dazzled spectators with his arm strength. Video clips from Milton’s day quickly began to circulate the internet.
