Riverside Christian Academy’s varsity volleyball team will be returning to the court this season with three experienced starters, and a deep roster of 13 players.
The team is Coached by Patty Wright and RCA Alumna, Rachel Hill.
Coach Wright said the team has good chemistry and the players have a great work ethic and positive attitude.
“We will be working on perfecting our rotation and strengthening our offense. We have a few players moving up from junior varsity to start, and we are continuing to develop skills,” said Coach Wright.
Junior Callie Eldridge, is the team’s setter. Coach Wright said Callie has done a great job of running the team offensively, and that she is a leader on the court and a hard worker.
Lily Ragland and Sabrina Rascoe are the Lady Knights’ middle hitters. Coach Wright said they have really stepped up and improved their game offensively.
“Lily and Sabrina are two kind, sweet girls who turn it on and are a force to be reckoned with when you get them on the court,” said Coach Wright.
Caroline Hall is also a returning player. She will serve as the team’s power hitter this season. Coach Wright said she is a versatile player who is willing to help you wherever she is needed, and she will help the team both offensively and defensively.
The Lady Knights also have two new transfer players who are starting on the team this season, and Coach Wright expects both players to contribute greatly.
The Lady Knights travel to Franklin Christian on Thursday for a 6 p.m. matchup.
