The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on a contract with journeyman tight end Nick Vannett, who most recently played for the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans, per a team announcement.

A third-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks out of Ohio State in 2016, he has 877 yards and six touchdowns in his career. Vannett also has played for Pittsburgh, Denver, New Orleans and the New York Giants. He caught one pass for 3 yards last season.

Vannett adds depth to a Titans tight end room that features only two other players who've appeared in an NFL game: 2022 draft pick Chig Okonkwo and 2023 draft pick Josh Whyle. The team also has practice squad veteran Thomas Odukoya and two undrafted free agents signed to the roster at tight end.

Vannett has not overlapped with any of the Titans' offensive coaches at any point in his career.

The Titans convene for their first optional offseason training activities on Monday. To make space on the roster for Vannett, the Titans waived undrafted free agent signee Rod Gattison.
