ETSU softball was dealt a tough hand on Tuesday night in its final non-conference tilt of the 2024 season - playing on the road at Appalachian State without several starters due to final exams.

Without full strength, the Bucs fell 7-0 in game one, followed by an 11-4 defeat in the second game of the doubleheader.

The Bucs could only muster up four hits in the first game shutout, and in game two was able to tally four runs together - in part due to Sara Muir's two-run home run to left field. Muir was taking her first at-bats since early March.

Meanwhile, an RBI double by Maddison Stowell and a run-scoring single by Cameron Lauretta got the Blue & Gold a couple more runs to come home with.

The Bucs wrap up regular season play this weekend as ETSU heads to South Carolina for a three-game Southern Conference series at Furman, beginning on Saturday with a doubleheader.
