ETSU gets commitment from VCU transfer Wheeler

The East Tennessee State basketball team hopes to fill its needs of a large presence in the paint with the commitment of Virginia Commonwealth transfer Roosevelt Wheeler.

His commitment to the Bucs was first reported by 336 Edits on “X.” The 6-foot-11 center appeared in 15 games for the Rams last season averaging five minutes per contest. He was part of the VCU team which former Unaka High School star Billy Bales served as an assistant. The Rams advanced to the Atlantic 10 Conference championship game and later the NIT quarterfinals with victories over Villanova and South Florida.
