Joining several of his teammates from the TSSAA Final Four Bradley Central Bears, Luke Keith has made his collegiate decision.
The 6-foot-6, 255-pound two-sport standout has chosen to pursue football at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Despite drawing interest from Indiana, Middle Tennesse and some other programs, Keith decided to stay close to home in choosing the Mocs.
Grading out at 88%, he had a dozen pancakes blocks and allowed just one QB sack in 13 games this past fall.
A two-time All-Region 2-6A performer, the Bear left tackle the 2023 Region 2-6A Ironman Lineman of the Year.
"Luke was a coaches dream," proclaimed veteran Bradley head coach Damon Floyd, himself a former Moc standout.
"The only negative is he is still young. He is only 17, but believe his best days are ahead. Once he does fully matures, then I believe he will be a very good player at the D1 level.
"He had trouble putting on weight, but if he was 20 pounds heavier, then he would have had a lot of other offers.
"He is one of smartest players we have ever coached. He is a 4.0 student. He was a team captain," the Bear mentor added.
"He was dominate this year and the leader of our offensive line. I think UTC is getting a steal.
"We have had some good lineman come through Bradley and he is one of the best!" Coach Floyd declared. "We are gonna miss him, but happy for him.""
Keith is also a standout for the Bear baseball squad.
