The Eaglettes Softball team wiped out the Lexington Tigers on Monday at their own turf.
Chester County controlled the game at bat and on the field.
The game started with Aly Campbell sending a runner to give the Eaglettes a 1-0 lead, but Lexington responded and took the lead, 2-1.
After that, the Tigers only scored one more run in the fourth inning, while the Eaglettes kept adding runs in the second, third and sixth inning. The final score of the CCHS victory was 8-3.
The score could have been closer with Lexington almost hitting a couple homeruns, but Jena Melton snagged both of them before they went over the fence for outs.
Speaking of almost getting a homerun, Eaglette Lana Rowland almost earned one herself, but it bounced off the top of the fence for a double.
This win was an exciting district win for the Eaglettes team after a tough loss against Jackson Christian.
