Leadoff hitter Chloe Lackey accounted for half of the runs in the inning on one swing. She hit a bases-loaded triple with no outs in the frame that gave Oliver Springs an advantage it would not relinquish.
Emmeline Patton would drive in Lackey later in the frame with a double, one of her two hits on the game.
Reagan Turbyfill provided a massive bump in the middle of the Lady Highlanders’ order, going 2-for-3 with Cloudland’s only extra-base hit and RBI.
Isabella Christman scored both runs in the contest for the visitors from Roan Mountain. She singled and was hit by a pitch to account for a pair of times reaching base.
Despite the loss, it was a very successful season for Cloudland. The school picked up their first-ever District Championship, as well as earned its first-ever Region Tournament victory.

Carly Compton hit her 12th home run of the season in the fourth inning to give Tennessee High its only run of the game. It was their first against Gibbs in a postseason setting in 17â…“ innings played.
Lacey Keck first put the Lady Eagles on the board in the first on an RBI double.
The Lady Vikings left the bases loaded in the sixth after Maddi Whaley homered in the top of the frame.
Tennessee High finished the season 24-5.
