Congratulations to South Gibson tonight. Made history with the first ever win against Gibson County. Got a really good team and played hard. Our girls got off to a slow start but they didn't quit and fought back until the end. Didn't go our way but we got to learn and keep fighting, I think Gibson County has been really successful over the years and has lots of eyes watching them. I think some posters along with myself call it like they see it. I do know Gibson County has the talent to make a serious run and I hope they get it all figured out. And I hope they all start having fun win or lose.
I know zero about this and I am speculating here but if White County even has the slightest vibe that the move isn't 100% legit they would balk on it, IMO. Now I am just speculating here. No way IMO that if the players parents made a 100% legal change of residence with all belongings out of House A into House B with all utilities out of House A should anyone question it. I would bet that if a smaller dwelling like an apartment was rented it might could throw up a red flag. All speculation here and wish the young lady gets on the court. Same with the Beaty girl. You only live once and your HS days are always remembered a bunch as an adult.
Lots of speculation around here. And even more questions now that UCR brought it up in a public forum last night. The only thing that I have heard that actually makes sense comes down to an address. Wish someone would just tell us what the issue is because the things being said make no sense. Other schools can’t black ball you. They can call you board of education and complain but they can’t stop a legal change of residence. And super/ad would need to have a big reason to rule you ineligible. I don’t know the whole story so I won’t speculate but some of the stuff being said is bonkers. I hope she gets to play soon. She has worked way too hard to miss her senior year. Whatever the reason I hope they work it out.
