I agree with this. It will definitely come down to who plays the best the day of. I would argue their only hole (albeit it’s a small hole for them) is still depth at the size position. Feels like they could use one more 6’5 or taller player. They make up for it really well though with how they crash the boards.
curious who you believe those 3-4 teams are? For me it’s Upperman, Fayette Ware, Hume-Fogg, and Greeneville. If I added a 5th team it would be Jackson South Side.
No home cooking last night and that's a fact. Called so many fouls on Clarkrange I couldn't keep up with it. The guy from Celina made it very obvious. It doesn't really matter th real season will be starting soon.
Upperman plays really good defense. They are smart athletic they have size and speed and an elite player in Cobb. I think there are 3-4 teams that can win AAA. It all depends on how you play in late February and March that makes the difference.
I agree with this exactly. It’s funny cause I would describe Hume-Fogg as that type of team upperman SHOULD have problems with, but it definitely didn’t stop them last year. I would add that chaffin is huge against teams like that because he has to play above his height (and he usually does) for them to turn the tide in those games.
if Upperman and Hume-Fogg were to meet again I’d argue it’s a battle of how much better Ty Cobb is this year vs Hume-Foggs development in their depth. As both of those areas are the biggest strengths to their teams. And I honestly think it depends on how the game is reffed. If it’s a tight game where they call a lot of fouls it favors Upperman, but if they let them play tough and don’t call much then it would favor Hume-Fogg.
