ALBERTVILLE — Grissom outscored seventh-ranked Albertville 19-9 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 53-50 decision in Friday night’s boys Class 6A, Area 14 basketball matchup.

The Aggies fell to 8-3 overall and 1-2 in the Area 14 standings while the Tigers improved to 8-4, 2-1.

Albertville’s Riley Norris scored a game-best 25 points. He hit 6 of 9 2-point field goals and 2 of 3 3-pointers.

Norris also had five rebounds and three assists.

Braxton Morris scored 12, Sam Renfroe six, Clay Lowery five and Carter Spence two for the Aggies. Lowery added three assists.

Grissom’s top scorers were Luke Luna with 17 points and Jaquez Johnson with 14.

The Aggies played at Scottsboro on Monday night. Their next game is Dec. 26 against Douglas in the first round of the Albertville Civitans Christmas Classic. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
