On Thursday, Sept. 28, Coffee County attended the Sequatchie County meet. Coffee had some top finishers.

Kailee Rossman placed first for the girls with 20:20.58. Chloe Hensiek finished with a time of 22:44.85 as the next best for Coffee County. Bailey Kitts, projected at high placement, was out for an injury.

On Thursday, Coffee County senior Xavier Randolph won Coffee County’s first State Championship since 2004 after placing first in the AAA Discus Event at the TSSAA State Championships held at MTSU’s Dean A. Hayes Stadium.

On Saturday, Coffee County Middle School’s Naomi Abiose placed second in the Division AA Girl’s High Jump event at the TMSAA State Championship Meet in Clarksville, Tennessee.

On Friday, Coffee County Middle’s Naomi Abiose placed first in the high jump, Sunday Orner placed first in the long jump and the Red Raiders picked up several top three event finishes in the Central Tennessee Conference Track and Field Championships at Raider Academy.

On Friday night, the CCMS Lady Raiders beat the Stewarts Creek Lady Falcons 4-1 and the Red Raiders edged out the Mill Creek Mavericks 2-0 as both Coffee County Middle School Teams advanced to the Section Semifinals.
