Thousands of Ole Miss fans and one five-star Auburn commit stormed the field at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday.
Quarterback Deuce Knight, who has been committed to Auburn for more than a month, took an official visit to Oxford for the Rebels’ game with Georgia on Saturday. When Ole Miss finished off a 28-10 victory over the Bulldogs, Knight ran onto the field among the throng, phone raised above his head.
Here’s video, shot by Ari Wasserman of On3:
Knight, from George County High School in Lucedale, Miss., is the No. 4 quarterback in the 2025 signing class according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings. He flipped to Auburn from Notre Dame on Oct. 2.
Knight’s visit to Ole Miss was described as something of a surprise by reporters who cover the Rebels. Also on-hand was 5-star Alabama wide receiver commit Caleb Cunningham, who hails from Choctaw County High School in Ackerman, Miss.
It’s possible, if not likely, that Knight storming the field in Oxford on Saturday was simply a “When in Rome” moment. But it’s just one more thing for Auburn fans to get nervous about between now and National Signing Day on Dec. 18.
