Star of the game: Derrick Henry surged for 280 rushing yards and three touchdowns while lining up as a Wildcat quarterback, helping Yulee (1-2) win on a blustery night against visiting South Lake (2-1).

Turning point: With South Lake down 19-7 in the second quarter and driving at the Yulee 1, Hornets linebacker Chris Murdock forced a fumble that Yulee recovered. On the next play, Henry broke three tackles on his way to a 95-yard touchdown run.

On defense: Kelvin Rainey intercepted a pass and blocked an extra point for the Hornets, and Garrett Henderson made a vital sack and pass deflection to thwart South Lake's final drive with less than two minutes to play.

Fast facts: Yulee maintained possession for 18:51 of the 24-minute first half. … The Eagles' Chris Floyd had 225 all-purpose yards. … P.J. Harris caught two TD passes for South Lake. … South Lake drove 70 yards in the last five minutes with help from a pass-interference penalty, but White's last-ditch pass fell incomplete on fourth down.
