The first contest of the Holiday Basketball Classic of the Palm Beaches was no trouble for the Stone Memorial Lady Panthers as they defeated The Benjamin School, FL, 71-46 on Friday. Emma Capps played yet another efficient game for SMHS as the junior scored 21 points in the win.

Stone Memorial led 17-8 after one period and 38-24 at halftime. Seven Lady Panthers scored in the first half: Alex Eldridge, Keaton Freitag, Chloe Roark, Tessa Miller, Annah Goss, Emma Capps and Emily Boyd.

The Lady Panthers held The Benjamin School to only eight third-quarter points and led 57-32 going into the final period. SMHS won by a final score of 71-46 to improve to 8-3 on the season.
