Prep Roundup: Tigers edge Wildcats, 4-3

Dunnellon’s Tyler Adams drew a walk for the game-winning RBI as the Tigers topped the visiting Forest Wildcats, 4-3, Friday night.

Drew Leinenbach threw six innings on the mound with nine strikeouts and no earned runs. Offensively he went 1-for-2 with two runs. Blaise Hawkins got the win throwing two innings with two strikeouts and one hit allowed.

Talon Watson went 1-for-2 at the plate with a double. DHS (2-1) will travel to Santa Fe on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Redeemer Christian 15, Ocala Christian 9: At OCA, Craigee Breach led the Lions on the mound, tossing four innings with 10 strikeouts and two earned runs.

Offensively, Jackson Hise (1-for-3, 2 runs, 2 walks, 2 RBI), Dom Riddle (2-for-3, 2 walks, 4 runs) and Luke Wakefield (3-for-5, 2 runs, stolen base) led Redeemer. 

RCA (1-1) will travel to St. John on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Lake Weir 2, Leesburg 0: At Lake Weir, George Dobkowski threw six innings, allowing no runs or hit and striking out 11. Austin Dodd pitched an inning in relief with one strikeout.

Clarence Kitchens (2 hits) and Tanner Gronlund (1 hit, 1 run) led the Hurricanes offensively. LWHS (1-2) will host Forest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Vanguard 10, Tavares 1: At Vanguard, Cody Antonucci (2-for-3, 3 runs, RBI), Karson Lindsey (2-for-4, run, 2 RBI) and Brian Long (hit, 2 RBI, 6 IP, 4 Ks) led the Knights.

VHS (4-0) will host Gainesville on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
