Vanderbilt football landed commitments from two 2024 players on Monday: 3-star defensive lineman Martreece Dillard and unrated athlete Tate Hamby.

Dillard, a 6-foot-4, 263-pounder out of powerhouse Buford High School in Buford, Ga., had offers from Auburn, Florida, Michigan, Mississippi State and Missouri, among others. He is rated the 104th-best defensive lineman nationwide by the 247Sports Composite.

Hamby, a 6-foot-1, 170-pounder from Ouachita Christian School in Monroe, La., only had offers from Group of 5 schools, however he fits Vanderbilt's profile as a state track champion who competed in long jump, triple jump, high jump and 110-meter hurdles. He played both wide receiver and safety in high school.

Likely a safety at the next level, Hamby is the first commit at his position for 2024. Dillard is the second defensive lineman committed after Simeon Boulware, another Georgia high school product.

With 15 total players committed, Vanderbilt's 2024 class currently ranks 36th nationwide in the 247Sports Composite.
