Niswander, Taylor share co-player of the year (11-13-13)

Eastwood’s Courtney Niswander and Lake’s Jordyn Taylor have been named co-players of the year for
girls soccer in the Northern Buckeye Conference.Both are midfielders. Niswander is a senior and Taylor is a
junior.Including Niswander and Taylor, both repeat selections, there were seven players from county schools
who earned first-team all-conference honors.Also on the first team are: Eastwood’s Maddie Cherry, and Megan
Welker; Lake’s Allison Perry, a repeat first-team pick, and Kayla Saffran, and Rossford’s Kristen
Keller.Completing the first team are: Genoa’s Madison Sheahan; and Woodmore’s Jordan Williams, and Sarah
Blausey, both honorable mention picks in 2012, Leah Henry, a 2012 second-team pick, Courtney Buchanan, and
Maddy Hines.County players on the second-team are: Eastwood’s Reagan Boice, a first-team pick in 2012, Kara
Ameling, Kortni Montag, and Kaleigh Obrock; Lake’s Catie Phalen; Otsego’s Morgan Thomas, an honorable
mention pick in 2012, and Kayla Chalfant; and Rossford’s Jenna Crippen.Also on the second team are: Genoa’s
Alexis Schumaker, Nichole Dominique, a 2012 honorable mention pick; and Woodmore’s Camryn Bench and Julia
Barbee.On the honorable mention list are: Eastwood’s Morgan Donaldson and Kat Przbylski, a second-team pick
in 2012; Otsego’s Mackenzie Wenig; and Rossford’s Emily Houchins, McKenna Keaton, Katy Nawrocki, Tayler
Royal, Jamie Crippen, Jenna Demko, and Abigail Haynes.
