NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Vancouver Canucks scored two power play goals and made them stand in a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators in Game 3 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Canucks take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 will be at Bridgestone Arena on Sunday at 4 p.m.

First Period

Vancouver takes a 1-0 lead behind a power play goal from J.T. Miller.

The Predators successfully kill off the Canucks power play. Each team has had two PP opportunities in the first period thus far.

Nashville went 0-3 on the power play through the first period. Vancouver went 1-2 with the lone goal of the game.

Second Period

The Canucks take a 2-0 lead with a quick strike on the power play.

J.T. Miller set up Brock Boeser for a redirection finish to double the lead over Nashville early in the second period.

The Predators are still out-shooting the Canucks, 16 shots to 9. The hits continue to pile up for both teams: 39 total (21 Nashville, 18 Vancouver).

Nashville has doubled up Vancouver in faceoff wins, 24 to 12.

The Canucks are 2-3 on the power play, while the Predators remain 0-3.

Third Period

Nashville goal! Luke Evangelista tears in a goal from the slot to cut the Canucks lead in half. Preds trail 2-1.

The Predators fall short to the Canucks in Game 3 by a final of 2-1.

Vancouver takes the series lead 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday, April 28 at 4 p.m. at Bridgestone Arena.
