Former Notre Dame High School state doubles champion Charles Jabaley will continue his tennis career and attend Lee University in the fall and play for coach Patrick Hynes and the Flames who compete in the Gulf South Conference (NCAA D-II).

He plans to major in communications with a minor in finance.

“I am extremely excited to be playing college tennis at Lee University next school year,” said Jabaley who graduated from Notre Dame with a 3.6 grade point average.

“One major factor in choosing Lee is that the school in less than an hour from home so my parents and friends can attend many of our matches and I also look forward to studying communications and finance.”

Jabaley teamed with rising senior J.R. Davis to win the TSSAA state doubles title in 2014 and then won the region in singles this year and advanced to the state tournament quarterfinals.

He was a member of the Chattanoogan.com Super Team this spring as he compiled a 15-2 singles record.
