MURFREESBORO — MTSU signee and Miss Basketball winner Kara Meadows scored a game-high 20 points to lead Clarkrange to a 62-44 win over Perry County on Thursday in the Class A girls basketball state tournament quarterfinals at MTSU's Murphy Center.

Meadows, a 6-foot-4 senior post player, connected on nine of her 13 field-goal attempts for the Lady Buffaloes (26-10), who held a 33-31 halftime advantage, while teammates Hannah Garrett and Charity Crabtree combined to score 27.

“She’s the best offensive player that we’ve had at Clarkrange," Lady Buffaloes coach Lamar Rogers said of Meadows. "She’s got a really good touch. We’ve just got to get her to 'D' up a little more every now and then.”

Alle Hinson finished with a team-high 18 points to lead Perry County (18-16), which shot just 4-for-22 in the second half, while teammates Jaycie Roberts (16) and Chynia Brooks (10) also finished in double-figures.

Clarkrange will face Hampton in Friday’s 4:30 p.m. semifinal.
