The Soddy Daisy boys lacross team remained undefeated after back-to-back region wins during a weekend road trip to Franklin, Tennessee. Saturday evening, the Trojans (6-0) dominated in a 18-0 victory over the host Independence Eagles (3-3).
Junior attackman Blake Morrow tallied six goals and assisted on six others, and Chance Humphries, Ethan Hyde and John Teffteller each found the net three times on a day when 7 different players found the back of the net for the Trojans (5-0). Hunter Goode, Nate Schofield, and Jack Durain each scored a goal. Trojan goalies Justin Kaulfuss and Noah Ferrell both had saves in preserving the shutout win. Crucial in the shutout effort were defensmen Hunter Swanson, Ben Jenkins, and Coleton Elrod.
On Sunday, the Trojans pulled away for a 11-4 win against the Page Patriots (2-2). Blake Morrow again led all scorers with 3 goals and 2 assists. Teffteller also scored 3 goals. For the second game in a row, 7 different players scored. Chance Humphries, Ben Nelson, Nate Schofield, AJ Rogers, and Jack Durain each scored a goal in the win.
