SIGNAL MOUNTAIN 1 ALCOA 0 Signal Mountain earned a 1-0 Class A quarterfinal win over Alcoa on Tuesday afternoon. Jack Combs scored the game winner in the 72nd minute.
Signal advances to play Franklin Grace on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the semifinals. Franklin Grace beat Douglass 10-1 in their quarterfinal game.
CSAS 2 COLUMBIA ACADEMY 1 CSAS found itself down 1-0 Tuesday afternoon in their Class A quarterfinal game. The Patriots would score a goal just before half and one in overtime to earn a thrilling 2-1 win over Columbia Academy.
CSAS's Avery Hardekopf tied the game in the 36th minute. Ben Greenwell scored the overtime goal to earn the win for CSAS. They advance to Wednesday's Class A semifinal against Gatlinburg-Pittman. Gatlinburg-Pittman won their quarterfinal game 6-1.
