The first practice in pads for his sophomore season is on Monday, but Hardin County tight end Hudson Wolfe already has picked up two big offers after one season of high school football.

After receiving an offer from Memphis in early June, Wolfe received his second Division I offer this weekend from Ole Miss.

"It was amazing to get that first SEC offer," Wolfe said. "It blew my mind, and it was totally unexpected."

Saturday was the first time that Wolfe had talked to Ole Miss when tight ends coach Maurice Harris called him.

As a sophomore, Wolfe already stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 235 pounds.

Wolfe attributes the workout program that is in place at Hardin County for helping him get recognition.

"I have worked extremely hard," Wolfe said. "We are in lifting and running every day so that we will be ready to compete in the fall."

Wolfe had 21 receptions for 268 yards and one touchdown as a freshman as the Tigers finished 6-5 and made the Class 4A playoffs.

Wolfe said the two offers are extra motivation for this season and the first day of practice.

"It makes (me) want to work harder and be as good as I can be," Wolfe said.
