Region 6-3A football preview: Where will Camden finish in the region?

Fairview was the best in Region 6-3A last year, going 5-0 in region play and reaching the Class 3A state quarterfinals. Camden suffered its first losing season in 15 years, but the Lions still made the playoffs. Camden is looking for a better season this year with hopes of earning a home playoff game.

Dalton Story led Camden in rushing last season with 960 yards, and he returns. Hunter Stettner and Matt Blow combined for 175 total tackles. Camden will try and get away from its 2-9 season and get back to having a winning season. With 14 starters returning, that is a possibility. … Cheatham County returns five starters on each side of the ball. … Fairview was the only team from 6-3A to win a playoff game. Kam Lusk is moving from quarterback to wide receiver. … Doug Loope begins his 14th season at Harpeth with a 57-80 record. Luke Gossett rushed for 762 yards and seven touchdowns, and he also had five interceptions on defense. … Stewart County returns seven players on each side of the ball and is on a six-game losing streak.… Sycamore returns 15 starters with eight coming on offense. Sycamore’s Zack Sullivan is getting some recruiting attention on the Division I level. Triston Hampton was an all-state player.
