Cyclones,’Landers hold steady in AP poll

Elizabethton and Cloudland held firm in this week’s Tennessee Prep Football Associated Press poll.

In Class 4A, Elizabethton held steady at No. 3. The Cyclones, who rolled past Grainger on Friday night, tallied 117 points including a first-place vote.

Greeneville and Anderson County maintained No. 1 and No. 2. The Greene Devils recorded 14-of-15 first-place votes.

In Class A, the ‘Landers held on to the No. 6 spot. Cloudland recorded 66 points in the poll.

Greenback continued to rank in the top spot, while South Pittsburg and Connersville was No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. The top-seven teams remained unchanged from last week’s poll.

Elizabethton is set to host Tennessee High, while Cloudland will welcome Happy Valley to Orr Field on Friday.
