West Creek's Roberts named top female athlete for second time; Weber voted top male

After this week's votes were cast, the winners of Clarksville's male and female athletes of the week for Sept. 24-29 include a repeat winner and a new winner this season.

Oh the girls' side, West Creek's Adrienne Roberts captured enough votes to claim the top prize. Another 15,000-plus voted for the female athlete of the week with Roberts claiming 8,322 total votes (55 percent). She edged volleyball teammate Laney LaBarge who garnered 6,445 votes

This is Roberts' second honor. She captured enough votes to claim the prize for the week of Sept. 3-8.

Rossview kicker Zaden Weber captured the male athlete of the week after collecting 1,761 votes (50.9 percent).

Last week's winner, Devonte Skelton of Montgomery Central, finished second in voting with 1,494 votes.
