White House Heritage player Trenton Tuttle celebrates a win against East Robertson High School at White House Heritage on Thursday, Oct. 18.

White House Heritage's 21-game losing streak is over.

The Patriots defeated Robertson County rival East Robertson 15-14 Thursday night, winning when Braxton Loewen's completed his two-point conversion pass to Jalen Witham with 4:45 left.

It followed Jackson Mapes' 1-yard touchdown run.

The win is the first for first-year coach Stetson Dickerson, who replaced former coach Hunter Hicks in July. Dickerson had previously been a Greenbrier assistant.

"We're enjoying (the win)," Dickerson said. "There is noting like winning a high school football game. We had kids that our seniors that were in the program for the second year. They had never won a high school football game.

"We had sophomores that had never won a game. They had never felt what it was like to win. They needed to feel that."

White House Heritage entered the game with the second-longest active losing streak in the Nashville area behind White County, which has lost 22 consecutive games entering Friday's contest with Columbia.

"We believe in what we're doing," Dickerson said. "We know the type of football we need to play to be in games. It's a hard sell.

"We have to control the football and be really, really good on defense. We have to do our job all the time. Defensively, we are asking them to do things they have never been asked to do before."

Mapes finished with 106 yards on 20 carries. East Robertson outgained Heritage 246-154. The Patriots didn't have a passing yard in the game.

East Robertson quarterback Cameron Swift led the Indians offensively. Swift was 12 of 19 passing for 149 yards and ran for 17 yards and a touchdowns on nine carries.
