Briarcrest's Alyiah Wells named Gatorade Tennessee Volleyball Player of the Year

Briarcrest middle blocker Alyiah Wells has been named Gatorade Tennessee Volleyball Player of the Year.

The Alabama signee led the Saints (40-2) to their second state title in three years back in October and was named MVP of the DII-AA state title match. She had a team-high 21 points with 16 digs and six blocks assisted in the match.

The 6-2 senior posted 545 kills, 315 digs, 116 blocks and 50 aces on the season. She is now a finalist for the Gatorade National Volleyball Player of the Year award.
