East loses to White Station, first TSSAA loss since 2016

White Station prevailed over East with a 74-72 home victory Tuesday night. It was the first time East lost to a TSSAA school since the Mustangs fell to Germantown on Feb. 13, 2016 according to Maxpreps. 

Brandon Brown led the Spartans with 22 points. Kolby Hilson and Amauri Abner chipped in with 19 and 14 respectively. 

Memphis signee Malcolm Dandridge scored 25 points for East in the loss.

White Station came close to upsetting East the last time the two teams played on Jan. 8. Brown scored 35 points, but the Mustangs were able to pull off a 66-63 win. 

Before Tuesday night, the last loss East suffered to a local school was against Olive Branch on Jan. 5 of last year.
