Bearden senior Ques Glover announced on Twitter on Monday he has committed to play basketball at Florida.

Glover led Bearden over Memphis East for the Class AAA state championship last month. Glover scored 24 points, matching James Wiseman, the top-ranked recruit in the country, according to 247Sports Composite, in scoring.

Glover was named the MVP of the Class AAA state tournament after averaging more than 19 points a game over three games. Glover scored more than 2,000 points in his career for the Bulldogs.

"I'm really happy for Ques. He's really worked hard for this. He's put in the work in the class and on the court," Bearden coach Jeremy Parrott said. "I'm just happy for he and his family."

Glover is the second Bearden player to commit to an SEC school. Bearden forward Drew Pember signed with Tennessee in November. Glover can sign April 17.

"It’s big time. He deserves every part of it," Pember said in a Twitter message. "It won’t be any different from practice I’ll still be able to get in his head haha but I love Ques to death he deserved this and I’m happy he got it."

Glover, a 6-foot guard, had more than 20 Division I scholarship offers, including from Yale, Florida Atlantic and Western Carolina. He averaged more than 21 points this season and was a Class AAA Mr. Basketball finalist.
