Tennessean 2019 All-Midstate girls basketball team
First team
The eight members of the first team are nominees for the girls basketball player of the year. The winner will be announced on May 31 at the fourth annual Tennessean Sports Awards presented by Farm Bureau Health Plans.
Keeley Carter
Macon County, Jr.
Position: Guard
Why chosen: The 5-foot-7 Carter averaged 18.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.5 steals. She was the District 8-AA MVP.

Ravenwood, Jr.
Position: Guard
Why chosen: Harmon, a 5-foot-9 UAB commitment, averaged 17.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals this past season.

Why chosen: Hoosier, a 5-foot-6 guard, led the Lady Buccaneers to District 9-AAA regular season and tournament titles, averaging 15.1 points, 3.2 steals and 2.5 assists.

Why chosen: The 6-foot-1 Palmer averaged 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds for the Class AAA state quarterfinalists.

Why chosen: The Division II-AA Miss Basketball averaged 18 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the state champion Lady Tigers.

Why chosen: The 5-9 Class A Miss Basketball finalist averaged 21.3 points, six rebounds, six assists and 4.5 steals for the state runner-up Lady Mustangs. She was named the Class A state tournament MVP.
