White Station has hired Reid Yarbrough as its next football coach, the school announced Thursday on Twitter.

Yarbrough, a White Station alumnus, was previously an assistant coach on the Spartans staff under Joe Rocconi, who was hired as coach of Collierville in February.

The school tweeted a statement from Yarbrough.

"I'm honored and humbled to be given this opportunity at a place where I've spent 16 years of my life as a player and coach. I've been fortunate to coach a lot of great kids over the past 12 years, and I am excited to be able to build into the lives of young men we have here," said Yarbrough. "Having coached for great men like Major Wright, Devon Rutherford, and Joe Rocconi, I have learned what it takes to build a winning program. We're going to work diligently to continue to build character, sportsmanship, and a championship culture."
