The Elizabethton softball picked up a pair of wins on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Cyclones rallied for a 4-1 victory over Johnson County in the opening game of the day and then rolled to an 11-0 win over the Lady Longhorns in the nightcap.

In the first game, neither team was able to get anything going over the first three innings. Johnson County put a run on the board in the top of the fourth inning, and the visitors held a 1-0 lead until the bottom of the sixth.

Elizabethton evened things up when Kira Dillard crossed home plate after a Haley Fair sacrifice hit. Kallista Deprimo pushed EHS into the lead in a big way with a two-run shot over the center field fence. Marley Wagner kept the inning going at the next at bat as she launched a home run over the center field fence to give the Lady Cyclones a 4-1 advantage.

Elizabethton secured the win in the top of the seventh.

Autumn Hensley went 2-for-3 to lead EHS. Dillard, Fair, Wagner and Deprimo each had a hit. In the circle, Hannah Edwards pitched for a complete game win as she allowed just one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts.

In the second game, Elizabethton set the tone early.

EHS plated two runs in the first and second innings, and then added another in the top of the fourth. Elizabethton left no doubt by plating six runs in the top of seventh to secure the win.

Hensley continued her hot streak as she went 4-for-4 for Elizabethton, while Maddie O’Quinn, Madison Pritchard, Fair and Wagner each had two hits.

Pritchard also pitched a gem in the circle for the win as she allowed just five hits.
