New Lipscomb Academy football coach and Super Bowl winning quarterback Trent Dilfer was back on an NFL stage Friday.

Dilfer, wearing a Lipscomb Academy cap, announced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' second-round pick of the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville.

"Nashville, you're killing it this week," he yelled from the stage.

Tampa selected Central Michigan cornerback Sean Bunting with the 39th overall pick.

Trent Dilfer, the new football coach for Lipscomb Academy, shows off his Super Bowl ring to the crowd after joking that he's never lost a game in Tennessee.

Tampa Bay selected Dilfer with the sixth overall pick in the 1994 draft. He played six seasons with the Buccaneers and found limited success. Dilfer threw for 70 touchdowns and 80 interceptions from 1994-1999 with Tampa Bay.

The following year, Dilfer became a Super Bowl winner with the Baltimore Ravens. He went on to play for six more seasons in stints with the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco 49ers.

Following his playing career, Dilfer was an NFL analyst for ESPN.

Dilfer was named Lipscomb Academy's football coach in January
