The red-hot Cumberland County Jets continued their winning ways Monday afternoon as they cruised to a 5-1 victory over non-district foe White County in soccer action.
The victory is the 12th on the season for coach Cub Whitson’s squad and improves their overall record to 12-3.
Nick Shenesky, Jose Castañeda and Drew Davidson each scored a goal against the Warriors while Aiden Zeino put two into the net.
Cumberland County has just one regular-season contest remaining as they travel to Rhea County on Thursday for a non-district contest.
The Jets will enter next week’s District 6AA tournament as the overall No. 1 seed and will face the winner of Monday’s Upperman vs. Stone Memorial contest in the No. 4 vs. No. 5 play-in game.
