The Elizabethton baseball team took care of business once again on Wednesday night.

The Cyclones claimed their third straight District 1-AA Championship with a 9-3 victory over Sullivan South on Wednesday night at TVA Credit Union Ballpark.

With the win, Elizabethton will host a Monday Region 1-AA semifinal against either Claiborne or Greeneville.

The Cyclones jumped out early and never looked back in the title game. EHS took a 3-0 lead heading to the fourth inning, and then added five more runs in the fourth to take an 8-0 lead.

South was able to get on the board in the later stages. However, Elizabethton was never threatened.

Jaden Anderson led the way at the plate as he recorded two and scored two runs, while Bryson Rollins had two RBIs. Evan Carter recorded three runs scored.

On the mound, Lawson Wagner allowed just one earned run on seven hits for the Cyclones with seven strikeouts.
