Sequoyah High School has found its new football coach.
Ryan Bolinger has been hired as the Chiefs’ head coach, the school announced with a flyer posted on its social media accounts.
Sequoyah will hold a free community cookout on Thursday, May 30, which was advertised on the flyer, to give fans and parents a chance to meet Bolinger. The cookout will take place in the school cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.
Athletic director Justin Miller said that the school will release a bio on Bolinger following the cookout.
Bolinger replaces Bobby White, who resigned earlier this month after four seasons at the helm, a decision that came out of an urge to spend more time with his family.
White accumulated a 17-25 record as Sequoyah’s head coach.
More information on Bolinger’s hiring will be available in an upcoming edition of The Advocate and Democrat.
