Tennessee's Jauan Jennings injures knee but should return for season, per reports

Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings will need surgery for a knee injury suffered during a summer workout, but he should be ready for the season, according to multiplereports Thursday.

This isn't the first knee issue for Jennings, a fifth-year senior.

Jennings had an arthroscopic knee procedure last offseason. That kept him out of spring practice in 2018, but he returned for the season and made 30 catches for 438 yards.

Jennings missed all but one game in 2017 after dislocating his wrist in the season opener. His most productive season came as a sophomore in 2016, when he had 40 receptions for 580 yards.

The Murfreesboro native has 87 catches for his career.
