Elijah Howard commits to Tennessee football's 2021 recruiting class

The commitments keep rolling in for Tennessee.

Elijah Howard joined the surge on Tuesday, announcing his commitment in a video via Twitter. Howard is a 2021 prospect listed as an athlete. He played for Webb School of Knoxville but is no longer a student there and will transfer to Chattanooga Baylor.

"They say dreams do come true, and home is where the heart is. Go Vols," Howard said in his commitment video.

He does not yet have a rating in the 247Sports Composite. Howard's other offers include Mississippi State, Virginia Tech and Virginia. The Vols made him the offer when he was in eighth grade.

The 5-foot-11, 183-pound Howard played running back for Webb. He projects as a defensive back in college.

Howard is the second 2021 prospect to commit to UT this week, joining four-star wide receiver Jordan Mosley. The Vols also have received five 2020 commitments this month.
