Miss high school football?

With the two-week TSSAA dead period over, here is a look at some of the top opportunities to get back into the high school football grind with 7-on-7 passing tournaments sprouting up in the Nashville area.

Two of the Nashville area's largest tournaments will be played Wednesday and Thursday.

The Titans host their fifth annual passing tournament on Wednesday at St. Thomas Sports Park, while Riverdale holds its tournament on Thursday.

Here is a look at the two tournaments.

Brentwood Academy quarterback Wade Williams and the Eagles will compete in the Titans passing tournament on Wednesday.

Titans

Brentwood Academy and Oakland headline this tournament. They are the only two programs to win it – Oakland in 2015, 2016 and 2018 and Brentwood Academy in 2017.

Joining them this year will be Cane Ridge, East Nashville, Ensworth, Fairview, Gallatin, Mt. Juliet, Northwest, Page, Pearl-Cohn, Ravenwood, Stratford, Whitehaven and Whites Creek.

The tournament, which runs 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., begins with pool play with a single-elimination tournament later in the day.

The event also includes a lineman challenge. It is the first year for that event.

Riverdale

Riverdale is holding the eighth annual Tate Matthews Team Sports 7-on-7 tournament on Thursday throughout the Riverdale campus.

The event features 25 teams from the Nashville area.

That list includes Beech, Blackman, Centennial, Clarksville, Columbia Academy, Creek Wood, Forrest, Franklin, Franklin County, Gallatin, Independence, Lebanon, Macon County, Marshall County, Moore County, Northeast, Rockvale, Shelbyville, Station Camp, Stone Memorial, Summit, Trousdale County, Westview and Wilson Central.
