Haywood senior Darion Williamson became the latest in-state football player to commit to Tennessee and coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Williamson, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound athlete, picked the Vols over Memphis. He is a three-star athlete and the No. 32 prospect in Tennessee for the 247Sports Composite.

Williamson announced his decision via Twitter.

As a wide receiver, he had 10 catches for 150 yards in 2018. As a defensive back, he had 70 tackles, including 10 for loss. He also intercepted four passes and recovered two fumbles.

Haywood's Darion Williamson is the No. 23 college football prospect in Tennessee as ranked by the USA Today Network - Tennessee.

Williamson is the fifth player from Tennessee to commit to the Vols for 2020, joining Greeneville's Will Albright, Maryville's Tee Hodge, Ensworth's Keshawn Lawrence and Knoxville Catholic's Cooper Mays.

Commitments are nonbinding for the athlete and the school. Williamson cannot sign until the early signing period, which begins Dec. 18.

Four players from West Tennessee are on the current Vols roster – USJ's Trey Smith, North Side's Greg Emerson, Haywood's Emmit Gooden and Hardin County's LaTrell Bumphus.
