The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Fayetteville City High School Lady Tigers in four sets on the road Tuesday for their second loss of the season.
The Rebelettes were competitive with the Lady Tigers in the first two sets, but the Lady Tigers convincingly won the final two to give them a loss.
The first set came down to the wire with the Lady Tigers ultimately scoring a few straight points to take a win by a margin of 26-24.
The second set played out in a similar fashion, but the Rebelettes were on the winning end this time as they won by a score of 26-24 to tie the match at 1-1.
The Lady Tigers were in control for most of the third set as they were able to beat the Rebelettes 25-15 to retake the lead by a single set.
The fourth and final set went the exact same way with the Rebelettes losing by a margin of 25-14 to end the match.
Ashtin Holman put in a strong overall performance for the Rebelettes with four aces, three blocks, 10 kills and two assists.
Teammate Heidi Seay contributed two aces and six assists, and GiGi Yang added three kills for the Rebelettes.
With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 0-2 on the season.
They will next play Thursday at Lincoln County High School. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
