Baylor Slaps CCS, 49-6

Elijah Howard Leads Red Raiders To Win

Baylor used an even scoring attack Friday night at Heywood Stadium to roll past CCS, 49-6.

The Red Raiders were led by junior running back Elijah Howard’s 13 carries for 138 yards and three scores.

Baylor popped for 35 points before the Chargers finally got on the board with Traveon Scott’s 36 yard run. The PAT was blocked.

The Red Raiders opened the scoring with 10:58 on the clock in the first quarter when Howard scored the first of his three tallies on a three yard run. Baylor struck again with :33 on the clock and Howard ‘s six yard romp.

Baylor hit for two more cores in the second quarter when Jeremiah Skipworth hauled in a 36 yard pass from quarterback Neyland Jean; Noah Martin then went six yards with ;40 left in the half.

The second half was again all Red raiders. Howard opened the scoring with a 13 yard run, followed by a Cooper Wick to Carson Yates 15 yard toss. The final Big red score came at the 5:34 mark of the fourth quarter when Dylan Crawford rambled for a five yard TD.

Baylor rolled up 482 yards in total offense, eclipsing CCS’ 265.

The Red raiders averaged 11.5 yards per play to the Chargers 6.3.

With the win Baylor goes to 2-0, while CCS falls to 0-2.
