Elizabethton football scored early and often to open Three Rivers Conference play.

The Cyclones rolled to a 63-9 victory over Sullivan East in Bluff City on Friday to improve to 2-0 on the season.

EHS opened the game in a big way as Jake Roberts had a pick-six. The Patriots closed the gap with a field goal with just under four minutes left in the first quarter, but Elizabethton wasn’t deterred as EHS quickly rolled to a 28-3 lead at the end of the quarter.

The Cyclones continued to keep their foot on the pedal as they scored 21 points in the second to take a 49-3 advantage into the locker room. It was much the same in the second half.

Bryson Rollins had four touchdowns for Elizabethton, while Parker Hughes caught three touchdowns in addition to his own pick six for his fourth score of the night.

Cameron Trimm had a pair of touchdowns for EHS, while Cade Maupin also added a score.
