Tennessean Midstate high school football top-10 rankings after Week 3

Here's a look at the top 10 high school football teams in Middle Tennessee, as ranked by the USA Today Sports Network. 

1. Ravenwood (3-0) – The Raptors shut out Franklin 28-0 and racked up 398 yards of total offense. Last week: No. 1. This week: vs. Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, Arkansas).

2. Oakland (3-0) – The defending Class 6A state champions have outscored their first three opponents 214-30. Last week: No. 2. This week: at Germantown.

3. Brentwood Academy (2-1) – The Eagles lost to McCallie in the final minute in a battle of preseason Division II-AAA East Region favorites. Last week: No. 3. This week: vs. Whitehaven.

4. Ensworth (3-0) – Gerard Bullock’s 218 yards and two touchdown passes led the Tigers past Knoxville Catholic in their DII-AAA East opener. Last week: No. 4. This week: vs. CPA.

5. Brentwood (3-0) – Cade Granzow was 13-of-15 passing for 249 yards in a 63-0 rout of Dickson County. Last week: No. 5. This week: at Henry County.

6. Riverdale (3-0) – Drew Smith had 164 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 35-17 win over Cookeville in both teams’ Region 3-6A opener.Last week: No. 6. This week: at Smyrna.

7. BGA (3-0) – The Wildcats held Goodpasture to 120 total yards in their DII-AA Middle Region opener. Last week: No. 7. This week: vs. Franklin-Simpson (Kentucky).

8. Pearl-Cohn (3-0) – The Firebirds routed Stratford 42-6 and have now outscored their first three opponents 101-33 this season. Last week: No. 9. This week: at Maplewood.

9. East Nashville (3-0) – Kwanzee Jemison had 200 total yards – 108 passing yards and 102 rushing yards – in the Eagles’ 21-15 win over Giles County. Last week: No. 8. This week: vs. Brainerd.

10. Blackman (1-2) – The Blaze held Coffee County to minus-11 yards of offense in a 65-0 rout. Last week: No. 10. This week: at Independence.
