Central High School golf traveled to McMinnville on Monday, September 9, for a road match against Warren County. The boys' team came out on top with a 180-200 victory over the Pioneers.

CHS boys' golf defeats Warren County
Central High School golf traveled to McMinnville on Monday, September 9, for a road match against Warren County. The boys' team came out on top with a 180-200 victory over the Pioneers.
Logan Hale and Chris Robinson led the Red Raiders with scores of 42. Chase Hancock followed with a 44. David O'Connor added a 52, with Avery Hill next at 65.
Westwood volleyball drops South Franklin
Westwood Middle School volleyball returned home on Monday, September 9, for a match against South Franklin. The Lady Rockets built on a doubleheader win over North the week before with a straight-set win.
"Absolutely thrilled with them, they played their game," Coach Kinda Baxter said. "They are learning how to play and working as a team."
In the first set, Westwood held South Franklin to single digits in a 25-9 victory. A closer second set followed, but the Lady Rockets held on to win 25-16.
Lilee Scott had an impressive day at the service line with 12 aces. Zowee Dillard followed with six.
CMS volleyball falls to Flintville
Coffee County Middle School volleyball traveled to Lincoln County on Monday, September 9, for a match against Flintville. The Lady Raiders were unable to pick up a set in an 0-2 loss.
CMS lost the first set 14-25. In the second, the Lady Raiders fell 9-25.

Last Saturday, the season came to an end for the Westwood Rockets with a 15-7 loss to Forrest in the DRVC Tournament.
